Lamont Constructions Sugar City Titles

What an excellent title meeting we had over the weekend of the 26/27th April at the Mackay and District Kart Club with the 2008 Lamont Constructions Sugar City Titles.  A big thanks to all the officials and those that put in a lot of effort and time to make the meeting such a success.  We had a total 125 nominations over 13 classes. 

Lots of Mackay drivers had great weekends with 10 of the class winners being Mackay drivers.  Unluckiest driver in the finals would have to have been Jarryd Ebzery in Junior National Light.  He and Brooke Leech swapped the lead on every other lap during the final, but on the last lap coming out of the second switchback Jarryd and Chelsea Holman got hooked up leaving them both watching on as Brooke crossed the line for the win. 

Sportsman light was another class worth watching with Justin Garioch just managing to hold on for the win with Brenton Simonds hot on his heals for the final 2 or 3 laps.  Great job by all the drivers over the two days with very few incidents all weekend.  Full race results as follows:-
