Preview: Raleigh 6-Hour Enduro

press release

The Raleigh International Kart Racing Circuit, just south of Coffs Harbour will this weekend see drivers tackle the latest round of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Endurance Kart Championship.

The 1.050 km Raleigh International Kart Racing Circuit is set to hold the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ event which will simultaneously be rounds of the National Championship, New South Wales Championship and Queensland Championship.

A field of close to 30 teams, from both NSW and QLD states and teams are to consist of between two to three drivers, are set to converge onto the Raleigh circuit which will have teams such as A1 Racing, KBC Racing, Kaos Racing, Horsepower Racing, Wollongong City Raceway Jets and plenty more.

In Endurance Kart Racing there is always going to be plenty of close and exciting racing throughout the weekend, and the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ promises to be no different.

The team that everyone was to be looking to chase down were the Wild Hogs Racing who took out the last round, which was held in Port Macquarie at the Pacific Park Raceway late last month, where the conditions were very wet. The Wild Hogs Racing team were able to finish first across the line after a last lap, last corner pass for victory on A1 Racing in what was one of the best races in the history of ProKart Australia.

Unfortunately the Wild Hogs Racing team are unable to contest this weekend’s event due to other commitments. This is no doubt going to be open the National Championship right up, and one of the main teams that can benefit from this are the A1 Racing team if they are able to post a strong result this weekend.

Action on the Saturday will begin at 9am with the practice and qualifying sessions, and on Sunday the 6 hour race is set to begin at 9.30am. The Raleigh International Kart Racing Circuit is located on Valery Road, which is just off the Pacific Highway and 20 minutes South of Coffs Harbour.
