Top Honours For Wright & Day At Sat Night Series Round

It was Leigh Wright and Lee Day that took the winning honours during the fourth round of the Saturday Night Go Kart Series at Wollongong City Raceway, near Mt. Kembla on the South Coast of NSW, last Saturday night (May 31).

Wright from the Clubman Heavy class and Day from the Clubman Light class both came out with wins in all three heat races, the pre final, and the final, which made for a clean sweep of the round.

Other winners on the day in the finals for the Saturday Night Series were Cameron Moss (Juniors) who took out four of five races, Adam Hourigan (Midgets/Rookies), Darryl Apps (Senior J), Evan Gatt (TAG Light), Shane Long (Resa), Martin Brien (TAG Heavy), Dominic Perre (TAG Restricted), and Joe Chetcuti (Shifters).

Each driver in the Saturday Night Series contested what was an action packed day / night of racing with qualifying, 3 heat races, a pre final, and the much anticipated final which declares the round winners for each class.

The fifth round of the Saturday Night Series will be held at Wollongong City Raceway on Saturday Night, June 28.
