Rotax Fats Head To Wodonga

from Nicholas Crawshay

Fellow Fats and associates,

The weekend of Canberra Fats proved to be a success as we combined "The Bruce Otter Show" with Rotax Fats in an all out "Visitors vs The Locals" meeting.

We managed a full grid and completed 3 heats and a final in a single day. Andrew Torville took out the day to hold onto, and even extend, his points lead. Todd Davey had the pace all weekend though couldn`t quite make the move for the win. Bruce Otter came home in 3rd, though may have had a better chance if not ruined by an outside favorite seeing a little red - "sorry Bruce".

A special thanks to the club and to Rotax and Mojo for their support offering tyres and apparel. I think an enjoyable weekend was had by all and with low cost entries and practice I am glad to say we will definitely be returning.

NEXT MEETING - Wodonga City Titles. 14th and 15th June, $3000.00 up for grabs.

The next sanctioned event will be held in Wodonga, the " Wodonga City Titles ". This is a once a year meeting and has proved to be one of the big ones in recent years, just a few hours down the road and the closest point to meet the Victorians at one of their most challenging and fastest race tracks.

If you are keen on running in a big field or want to race the nationals, it could be a great chance to see what you're made of and with computer grids including 3 heats, pre final and a final, everyone should have a pretty good chance.

This for most of us Fats will be a new track and an opportunity to race against some of the best guys in the country. CC Racing and Arrow have confirmed they will have their drivers turning up so I am sure this should add some spice to the mix.
