BAM Tours Partner With AKA

AKA press release

The Australian Karting Association is proud to announce BAM Tours, the latest addition to the BAM Group, has joined as a corporate partner of the governing body of karting in Australia.

BAM Tours (www.bamtours.com.au) is a subsidiary of BAM Media and BAM North America and was established after a need was identified for personalised private, corporate and public tours nationally and internationally. Company principal, Brett Murray, has been in the media, marketing and event business through his company BAM Media for more than 20 years.

Murray established BAM Tours to take full advantage of his knowledge of international travel, destinations, events and contacts in a vast array of sports, business and entertainment.

“Since BAM Media first became involved in the sport of karting in an official capacity almost two years ago, we have continually worked towards raising the profile of the sport in Australia,” said Murray.

“With the official launch of BAM Tours recently it provided us at the BAM Group the opportunity to add that little bit extra for all members of the Association by joining as a corporate partner of the AKA.”

BAM Tours recently hosted the second annual Marcos Ambrose NASCAR Tour to Charlotte, North Carolina in America with a sell-out group of 30 guests from all across Australia attending.

Two of these guests were AKA members, Chris Armstrong and Daren Membrey from Victoria. Following on from the positive reports they had heard from the inaugural trip in May 2007 Armstrong and Membrey were among the first to secure their spot on the 2008 tour.

“The team at BAM Media have done a fantastic job in assisting to lift the profile of the sport across the country and I’m delighted to have BAM Tours join as a corporate partner of the AKA,” said Simon Whiting on behalf of the AKA Executive.

Today’s announcement has BAM Tours join Pettaras Press and Orrcon, the steel tube and pipe manufacturer and distributor, as the first three corporate partners of the AKA.

These partnerships are the first of their type for karting in Australia, with all of the funds generated by platform sponsorships set to flow back to the sport through AKA Officials clothing and marketing of karting to assist with the growth of the sport.

Each platform sponsor will have their logo featured on official’s uniforms across the country, on the official AKA website, included in every media release distributed by the Association and it also provides an opportunity for companies to be a part of the development of the future stars of Australian motorsport.
