Sarron Caddy - Going Places Fast

press release - F100 News

Seventee-year old Sarron Caddy finished a remarkable 2nd in the first round of the Formula 100 Titan series at Oakleigh. Coming off grid 22 in an action packed and frenetic race, Sarron showed amazing speed and common sense to get back to second place, driving in what was just his second Formula 100 race.

What made this even more remarkable was that only hours earlier Sarron was involved in a sickening hide speed mutiple roll-over in the pre-final of Clubman Light. Through no fault of his own Sarron and his kart were launched into the air at the start finish line on the main staight. What occurred next horrified many onlookers as Sarron's leg was stuck in the kart as it barrel-rolled sideways and front ways several times.

Most believed that Sarron would have been seriously hurt as he lay on the infield grass for several minutes, unable to move. After being taken to the medical room Sarron, courageously turned up on the grid shortly after for the Formula 100 pre-final ready to race, his determination undeniable.

Race officials deemed that he may still be suffering side effects from the crash and removed him from the grid, much to Sarron's disapointment.

What followed in the Formula 100 final was an inspired drive from rear of grid to second place.

Sarron has continued to impress throughout the Titan Series including setting the fastest lap of the star studded final of round three at the Geelong Winter Cup. Keep your eye on this young man in upcoming races of Formula 100 and Clubman Light. The future looks bright for young Sarron!
