Taree 500 Preview

press release

There will be nonstop action when the Endurance Karters gear up for the annual Taree 500 Lapper that will be held at the Manning Valley Go Kart track, near Taree on the Mid Coast of NSW, this Weekend (July 5 - 6) as part of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia NSW Endurance Kart Championship.

Over 15 teams, which are made up of between 2 – 3 team members, will battle it out on the track for this year’s trophy. 750 metres in length, the Manning Valley Kart Track is a fast open track that is going to create plenty of exciting racing throughout the 500 Lap race.

Teams that will be competing at this year’s event will include DQ International Racing, Wollongong City Raceway Jets, recent Eastern Creek 24 Hour winners Kaos Racing and Horsepower Racing, plus plenty more teams looking for the victory honours.

Last year’s winners of the Taree 500, the Adrenalin Rush Racing team, who are based in Queensland, are no doubt aiming for back-to-back wins.

Endurance Kart Racing is some of the most exciting and a nail biting style of Go Kart competition, as there are numerous pit stops for fuel and drivers changes, along with plenty of lead changes, and it is certainly a team effort for anyone that wants to compete in this event.

Also on the programme on the Saturday will be the sixth round of the ProKart Australia Super Sprint 4’s Series. The Super Sprint 4’s Series will see both Senior and Junior classes battle it out through practice and qualifying sessions, followed by three heat races, a pre final, and a final.

The action on Saturday will begin at 9am with the sixth round of the Super Sprint 4’s Series and practice and qualifying for the Taree 500, and the Taree 500 race itself will begin at 9.30am on the Sunday.

The Manning Valley Kart Track is situated 3km West Wingham on Comboyne Road.
