Sun Centre Titles & Tankworld Juniors Rnd 1

from Leisa Baker

The weekend of July 5 & 6 saw karters from far and wide contest the Sun Centre Titles in Swan Hill.

The day was cold and the rain held off allowing for some excellent competitive racing. The race meeting also incorporated round one of the Tankworld Junior Championships which managed to attract a large number of juniors keen to test their skills on the challenging Swan Hill track and become eligible to grab some of the great prize money up for grabs for series winners.

One lucky Melbourne Rookie driver, Brodie Collet (right), was attending her first open meeting and went home a very happy girl after managing to pick up the $500 cash  random draw prize  for juniors.

Jordan Sanderson and Phil Straughen both put in an excellent drive and were joint recipients of the annual Trevor ‘Stumpy’ Apps Memorial Trophy.
