Josh Adams Victorious At BSRKC

press release

Canadian pilot Josh Adams scored a solid victory this past weekend at the third round of the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship (BSRKC) held at Kawartha Speedway in central Ontario. Adams was able to take the checkers in the Intercontinental C (ICC) division.

From the start of qualifying, the CRG pilot was able to control the ICC field as he claimed the pole position with a 33.742 lap. Utilizing the speed of his PSL prepared Maxter, Adams was the only driver to break the 34 second barrier in the timed session.

Looking to carry his momentum through the entire day, Adams took the prefinal lead at the drop of the green flag and controlled the heat race pace eventually taking the checkers by a healthy margin.

The final went almost as planned for the Zaino.ca sponsored driver as he again got the jump on his fellow competitors and raced away from the field to a more than four second lead. As the race began to come to a close, Adams encountered two back markers that were battling for position. Unaware that the leader was right behind them, the duo ignored the blue flag as Adams made several attempts to get by.

With the rest of the field closing, the second place competitor got a run on Adams and snuck by while using the lapped traffic as a pick. Adams was able to eventually clear the traffic as well and on the final corner of the final lap, made a bold pass to take the lead and his first BSRKC victory.

Josh will look to continue his success in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec as he will compete in the Petit Monaco street race before traveling to Shannonville, Ontario and Grand Mere, Quebec to wrap up the month of July.

Josh Adams would like to thank everyone who helped make this weekend a success for him. A special thanks to Mike Adams, Josh’s dad and mechanic, as well as the PSL Karting crew for their great motors and outstanding support.
