Long and Paterson Star in Latest Super Sprint 4’s Round

press release

The eighth round of the ProKart Australia Super Sprint 4’s Go Kart Series saw victories shared between Brendan Long (Seniors) and Kyle Paterson (Juniors) down at Wollongong City Raceway (South Coast of NSW) last Saturday (September 27).

After graduating from the Juniors last year in the Super Sprint 4’s Go Kart Series, Long, who runs in the Senior Light class, managed to go through the night undefeated after topping the time sheets in qualifying, then won all three races, the pre final, and the final. In the final it was Long that crossed the finish line ahead of fellow Senior Light competitor Tyler Hunt and in third was Nathan Kuhlmann from the Senior Sportsman class.

Other class winners in the Senior Super Sprint 4’s Go Kart Series action were Nathan Kuhlmann (Senior Sportsman) and Rick Ward (Senior Heavy).

Kyle Paterson was the pick of the bunch in the Juniors when he took out the win in the final defeating Jessica Hodgskin and Kaylah Tenneson in second and third respectively at the fall of the chequered flag.

In the heat race action for the Juniors, Paterson won the opening race and the pre final, while Hodgskin was too good for her rivals in both race two and three, and she also took out qualifying.

James Reddon took out the win for the Junior Sportsman class.

The ninth and penultimate round of the ProKart Australia Super Sprint 4’s Go Kart Series is to be held at Oran Park Raceway (Narellan, NSW) on Saturday, November 1.
