Preview: Eastern Creek 12-Hour

press release

This weekend (November 22 and 23) the Eastern Creek International Karting Raceway, near Blacktown, is to play host to the annual ‘Eastern Creek 12 Hour’ that is to be part of the 10th and final round of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia New South Wales (NSW) Endurance Kart Championship.

There is no shortage of contenders for this year’s ‘Eastern Creek 12 Hour’ such as newly crowned NSW Champions Team Kaos, and then you can throw in the likes of recent ‘Oran Park 7 Hour’ winners Walkos Racing, Horsepower Racing, Two Dogs Racing, Lexx Gammie Racing, Kart Blanche, 3D East Coast Racing, and so many more that are capable winning teams.

With one round of the NSW Championship remaining, Team Kaos have already wrapped up the championship honours and they are very eager to finish the year on a winning note, and they and Walkos Racing are without a doubt the firm favourites to take out this year’s ‘Eastern Creek 12 Hour’. Those two teams are certainly two teams to watch out for at the pointy end of the field throughout the ‘Eastern Creek 12 Hour’.

Last year’s ‘Eastern Creek 12 Hour’ was won by the Neil Thompson Smash Repairs team who defeated 3D East Coast Racing and Wild Hogs Racing in second and third. Team Kaos finished last year’s event just off the podium in fourth place. Unfortunately, the Neil Thompson Smash Repairs team, who has not competed at all this year, won’t be defending their ‘Eastern Creek 12 Hour’ crown.

A field of over 20 teams, that are to consist of between four to five drivers, are to revved up to tackle the annual ‘Eastern Creek 12 hour’ event and many of them have their sights set on upsetting the form guide at Eastern Creek International Karting Raceway this weekend.

Endurance Karting is without a doubt one of the most exciting forms of Motorsport, as not only is there plenty of close racing but the action that goes on during the numerous pit stops are always intense, and sometimes races can be either won or lost in there.

The Eastern Creek International Karting Raceway circuit is one of Australia’s very best Go Karting facilities, and the ‘Eastern Creek 12 Hour’ is no doubt going to provide the perfect finish to what has been a wonderful and exciting year for the NSW Championship.

Practice and qualifying will be held on Saturday from 6pm, while the ‘Eastern Creek 12 hour’ race is scheduled to start at 8.30pm on Saturday night and finish at 8.30am Sunday morning.
