Vic Open Off, But Track Still Open

press release

The Eastern Lions Kart Club would like to announce that due to the recent bush fire emergency in rural
Victoria, a decision has been made to postpone the running of the 2009 Victorian Open.

This decision was not made lightly. The realisation that a large number of interstate competitors were
already on site or on route, made this joint decision by the AKA, VKA and ELKC difficult, but necessary.

The 2009 Victorian Open will be held at the Hume International Raceway at a date to be published.

SPECIAL NEWS
Although the Victorian Open has been postponed, the Hume International Raceway, home of the Eastern
Lions Kart Club has been thrown open for practice.

Unofficial practice is open to all karters from 5.00pm today, Tuesday 10th February 2009 right through
the weekend. All competitors on site or in transit are welcome to practice at our facilities.
