F100 To Run CIK Sticky Tyre

The Formula 100 class will race on a CIK sticky tyre later this year with drivers competing for $1000 in cash.

Initially a one-off event, further races on Dunlop's CIK-spec tyre will depend on the level of interest received. The date has not yet been confirmed, but is likely to be May 29/30. This (or another suitable date) is the Friday and Saturday prior to Victoria's monthly 'club day'.

Titan Series organiser Dom Albanese is thrilled to be able to give aspiring young karters a chance to test their skills on Dunlop’s world CIK sticky tyre.

"Rest assured, this simple but super fast event will be one not to miss" Albanese informed KartSportNews. "Many of our gun drivers of today such as David Sera have never had the chance to race on CIK rubber, and this would be a great opportunity to see our young guns in action."

The concept is simple: Formula 100 equipment on Dunlop CIK tyres at the Geelong International Raceway.  The tyres will be specially priced and included in the entry fee.  Practice will be Friday and all qualifying and racing on Saturday.  This will not interfere with the Sunday club day events in Victoria.  A support class such as Junior clubman will be offered with longer face distances.  Junior Clubman does not usually get a chance to run on club days at Geelong and all juniors will have a chance to race on a sticky track.  More details to follow.

Further information will be published here on KartSportNews. Meanwhile, call Dominic on 0425 707 525
