AKA Newsletter Now Online

The first edition of Australian Karter, the official newsletter of the Australian Karting Association, is now online.

Australian Karter will bring you the latest news and information that interests you – the karter and you – the potential karter. The newsletter is designed to provide a direct link between the racer and the National Karting Council with the vision of having information flowing freely from the karter to the National Executive and vice versa.

Included in the first edition is information on some of the hottest discussion points around kart tracks at the moment such as the introduction of clutches for the Yamaha categories, a look at the TaG Restricted class, an update on Governance for the AKA and a preview the 47th National Sprint Kart Championships sponsored by Yamaha.

Despite the majority of the world being in the economic doldrums the AKA is pleased to report karting in Australia remains in a healthy state, as can be understood by reading the article ‘Healthy Numbers’ in the first edition.

Some of the regular features of Australian Karter will include a Track of the Month, Major Event preview, Karting Memories and beginning next edition - a Person of the Month.

The Australian Karter Person of the Month will highlight a dedicated worker, official or volunteer who has been nominated for the dedication and commitment to the sport of karting. If you’d like to nominate someone for the Australian Karter Person of the Month please email editor@karting.net.au

Karting Memories will feature a kart racer from years gone by and look at either what they are currently achieving in motorsport or life in general and provide you with an insight into their memories of karting.
