Butcher Races Wagga Then Las Vegas

press release

The 2nd round of the NSW Southern Zone championship kart race to be held at the new Wagga Kart Track on March 21 and 22 will probably be local driver Bronson Butcher's last race in Australia prior to leaving for the US for another series of races in the Legends cars on the "Bullring" asphalt speedway of Las Vegas.

"I am looking forward to driving the Spencer Clark Development Car again for the CRG Motorsport Team" said Bronson. "There is still a lot to organise but we are hopeful of about 7 races at the "Bullring" and maybe some at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale in LA again."

"It is great to be finally racing in Wagga again. It has been something like 6 years since we have raced there and we have great support from people like Steve and Linda and the team at Rev Arena Hire Karts, and Dan Seddon who did the spectacular air brush paint work on my helmet. And everyone is excited to get on the newly refurbished Wagga track."

With 2009 being Bronson Butcher Motorsport team's last year in juniors in karts, they were hoping to make it a big one, however budget and the US plans meant the schedule had to be tempered, and thus far they have been confronted with extreme weather, some mechanical issues, class changes and the Victorian Championships cancelled due to bushfires. "It has meant a lot of hard work and money with little reward, so it was good to have a more relaxing event at Canberra for the 1st round of the Southern Zone in Feb., where I got 2nd for the weekend in Junior National Heavy."

At Wagga, Bronson will be racing his preferred class of J Max. The best junior drivers in the country are in this form of racing, and it will be the first opportunity for Wagga race fans to get along and see this spectacular class in action.
Bronson Butcher Motorsport plans after returning from the US include racing the remaining rounds of the Rotax Pro Tour, the Rotax Nationals, the NSW Championships, the Victorian Closed Championships and the VACC Enduro. They are proudly supported by HJM Race Engines, Kart Equip, Oga Marketing, Churchill Transport, Doc Pearson, Bel Ray Lubricants, and Back Straight Massage.
