AKA Addendums

The AKA has released a number of rule book addendums, summarised below. The actual PDFs can be found on the AKA website HERE.

Addendum #5:
To be implemented immediately - Administrative Tidy-up for misprint in the 2009 AKA Manual.

Chapter 13 – Rule 13.21.1(a) Midget. Amendment to read as:

(a) Any Midget driver may elect to move to Rookies at any time from age nine (9), until the end of the calendar year of their eleventh (11) birthday. Refer to rule 40.12.1

Chapter 48 – Rule 48.01 Track Layout: Amendment to read as:

The track layout and conditions of Speedway circuits will be as agreed and approved by the State Speedway Track Inspector and relevant Government departments. Any new tracks or major alterations to an existing track must be submitted to the State Office for all necessary inspections and approvals. All tracks to be a minimum 8mtrs wide throughout.

Chapter 25 – Rule 25.13 (viii) Add new rule

(viii) Class winners of any Breast Cancer Foundation Ladies Only competitions are allowed to use Pink Number Plates for the period of their reign in the class that they were awarded in.
