Rotax Pro-Tour Kicking Goals Already

With two months still to go before the first race event, registrations for the 2009 Rotax Pro Tour have now exceeded 250.

"This milestone is a major achievement considering that there are only five classes on offer at each Pro Tour event" promoters IKD informed in a statement. "It is a clear example to date of the rise and rise of Rotax racing in Australia."

Currently there are 65 Rotax Light, 64 Rotax Heavy, 59 Junior Rotax, 52 Over 35’s and 12 DD2 competitors registered.

Visiting four of the best karting facilities in Australia, the Pro Tour events are set to revolutionise karting events in this country.

The Pro Tour will visit Newcastle, NSW (May 30/31), VACC Park, VIC (June 26/27), Raleigh, NSW (August 8/9) And Ipswich, QLD (October 24/25).

Each Pro Tour event will be televised on Fox Sports.

With more great news to come, 2009 is certainly the year of Rotax. Keep an eye on www.rotax.com.au (and KartSportNews!) for all the latest Rotax news and info.
