Junior Division Sits Out Round 3

press release

This Sunday (March 29) the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club will host round 3 of the 2009 Championship season at the Nepean Motorsports complex.

The Shootout supported by the Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway will again feature the very best speedway karter’s in the state and with another 70 plus nominations expected this weekend the action will be “red hot”.

While the Junior division is sitting out this Sunday’s meeting as they are on volunteer duties, the rest of the regular Speedway karts “cast of the fast” Midgets, Rookies, KT Open (Heavy & Light), Clubman (Light & Heavy) and the premier division the Formula 100 will all be featured.

Earlier this month, round two saw superb racing action in all the divisions and with new drivers making their racing debut the speedway karts is certainly moving forward.

The 2008 NSWSKC Club Champion Wayne Baines continued his winning and despite swapping divisions to KT Open Heavy, he ended the day as the highest points scorer But after just one round (the opening round was postponed until May due to rain) Wayne has Kyle Pollock, David Boyd, Jonathan Bright, Ashley Briton and Jason Beattie following in the series points tally with them making up the top six in the club championship.

The speedway karts are a great way to start speedway racing or just to have some fun. The NSWSKC meetings are family friendly with mums, dads and the kids all getting involved and loving the atmosphere at the race meetings.

The Nepean Motorsports complex is situated on Rickards Road Castlereagh with racing starting at 10am. The NSWSKC would like to thank the following corporate partners for their continued support for the 2009 Season:
