Very happy to join a karting team so famous and winning, while continuing his collaboration with Maxter, the five-time Italian world champion is looking forward to conquering a first podium or even a first victory under his new colours. The first races of the season have confirmed he is on the right track.

Davide Fore has already entered four races since the start of the season, with several outstanding performances, both in the very hard fought WSK (Winning Series Karting), and in the Winter Cup, the great classic of the international calendar. Apparently, his integration in the CRG Team has taken place under the best conditions.

"On my arrival, everybody has quickly made me feel confident and at ease, Davide commented. "CRG is like a big family, and I would like to thank Giancarlo Tinini for making this integration easier. I am also very happy to continue my collaboration with Maxter. When I was with the Maranello Team in 2008, I took part in the engine development and I know that this brand has a great potential, both in Super KF and in KZ1".

Davide has very quickly taken confidence with his CRG-Maxter kart. Though he had a negative weekend during the first WSK round at La Conca, in early February, he was already fighting for victory on his second race, at the Lonato Winter Cup, on 22 February. Fifth at the end of the qualifiers, he was third in Super KF pre-final. "I made a good start in the final and I was soon very close to the leader. Unfortunately, my overtaking attempt failed and I lost several places". Relegated to the end of the pack, the CRG driver staged a superb recovery up to 5th place. Two weeks later, he discovered the CRG-Maxter in its gearbox version at Sarno, for the WSK debut in KZ2. The Italian driver kept improving his equipment adjustments throughout the weekend, but was involved in a collision in the pack during the pre-final. Though 22nd, he never gave up and staged a fantastic recovery up to the 9th place, with second best lap in race!

And on 5 April, during the WSK round at Castelletto, Davide Fore made an excellent impression in Super KF. "Once again, my race debut was disrupted by a collision, but then I spent the rest on the race on the attack with good results. In the WSK, the final was 40 km long and I think I was one of the fastest during the whole race. Pity I lost time at the start, because the podium was within my reach. However, my final 5th place and the great competitiveness of my equipment make me feel very optimistic about the rest of the season and the forthcoming World Cup in Japan, where I will do my best to defend the title I conquered in 2008. Meanwhile, I wish a speed recovery to my engine tune-up specialist Filippo Gaggia from F&M, who has recently had a rather serious motorcycle accident".
