You'll Never Never Know If You Never Never Go

AKA press release

If you’re looking for a break from the cold of winter in the Southern, Eastern or Western states, or just looking for an excuse to take a break, then there is no better place to head than the Northern Territory.

Next month the Darwin Karting Association will host the 2009 Northern Territory State Championships (June 13/14). This Event it is undoubtedly one of the most relaxed and enjoyable karting meetings in the country.

While relaxed and friendly are two words that can describe the locals, the Hidden Valley karting complex is also one of the best in the country – which is why it is being considered for the 2012 National Championships.

“As Territorians we pride ourselves on ensuring that people have a good time when they come to Darwin, sure the racing is serious but when the racing is done it is time to enjoy everything that Darwin has to offer,” said Darwin Karting Association President Greg Meyer.

“Over the past few years the NT Championships have grown significantly, both in numbers and the quality of drivers that we are attracting here, and we are looking forward to this growth continuing in 2009.”

Some of the former Champions who have made the trek to the Territory include Garry Jacobson (who won two classes last year), Tyson Pearce, Nathan Mills, Tom Williamson, Joshua Buggy, Mathew Hart and Jonathan Venter just to name a few.

The Championships are held on the weekend prior to the V8 Supercar Championship Series heading to Darwin, making it a perfect time to combine the racing with a short holiday in the Top End.

The Supplementary Regulations for the Championships can be found under the regulations section on www.karting.net.au HERE (and in the KartSportNews Race Calendar)
