A Decade of Endurance - 2009 Australian Endurance Titles

press release

June 13/14 will see the marking of a decade of Endurance racing at Raleigh International Raceway with the 10th running of the Australian Rotax Endurance Titles.

The event is the longest running 2-stroke endurance event in Australia and is regarded as the BATHURST of karting, offering drivers the opportunity to challenge themselves in the longer form of  karting. With a venue ideally suited for endurance racing with a highly regarded 1050m circuit and a pit area that allows for individual pit bays, it mimics closely their v8 counterparts.

The event has grown over the years attracting many of the top Australian drivers and will again this year. The event has also risen to be included into the Rotax Max Challenge and drivers who compete are also eligible for the Rotax Racers reward points system.

The Raleigh International Raceway will also be the venue for the hugely popular Rotax Protour, which will include an endurance component in the event. The Australian Rotax Endurance Titles will provide some “match practice” for the drivers planning to do the Protour to experience the venue AND gain some experience in endurance racing in a competitive format.

Entries are now open and anyone wanting more information can check out the Calender section of KartSportNews for the regulations.
