Final Shootout Before Speedway Nationals

Its going to be an action packed Sunday this weekend when the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club return to the superb Nepean Motorsports complex this weekend for round 4 of the 2009 Championship season.

This Sunday’s meeting (May 17) “The Masters” is supported by Mulgoa Quarries will feature all the regular divisions with the Formula 100’s continuing to be the premier class. Add in the Midgets, Rookies, Juniors, Clubman Heavy and KT Open (Light and Heavy) and with another expected near record entries the day will produce sensational speedway karting action. Missing from this Sunday’s meeting are the Clubman Lights as they will be on volunteer duties.

Being the final meeting before the inaugural AKA Australian Speedway Kart titles (June 6,7 & 8) the day has added significance with everyone trying to dial their race machines for the important title shootout.

It's half way through the season and the championship is certainly hotting up in the NSWSKC points tally. Clubman Light racer David Boyd is leading the pack with 340 points but has Jonathan Bright (Formula 100) with 320 closely followed by 2008 champ Wayne Baines (315 points) making up the top three. Following are Kyle Pollock (Juniors), Daniel Sayre (Rookies), Kyle Angel (Midget), Reagan Angel (Junior), James Peters (Midget), Ashleigh Briton (Juniors), Nikki Briton (Juniors)and Rhys Tuohy (Rookies) a great mixture making up the top ten.

This Sunday’s “Masters” meeting is a very important in the NSWSKC year, half way through the championship and the final meeting before the AKA Australian Speedway Kart Titles, all the best racers are expected to nominate making this meeting a day not to be missed by anyone.

Be trackside this Sunday as the Speedway Karts ignite the Nepean Motorsports complex. The Nepean Motorsports complex is situated on Rickards Road Castlereagh with racing starting at 10am.
