Wanted: Mt Gambier Karting Memorabilia

press release

In 2010 the Mount Gambier Karting Club will be celebrating 50 years and are planing a big year of celebrations. With some special meetings throughout the year, the major celebration will be the 50th anniversary dinner and release of a book on the clubs history.

Above: The club has a rich history. Here, drivers and their karts race at Mount Gambier's old Drive In, before the club was formed and the Glenburnie track built.

The current hard working committee are going through all of the club records, but are looking for any other memorabilia that people may have in their private collections.

Photos, programs, newspaper articles.... anything that involves the club from the last 50 years.

People are able to send items to the club, pass onto a committee member or they can be scanned and emailed to mgkc50@gmail.com

There is also the possibility of a DVD being produced and any video footage would also be greatly appreciated.

All items will be returned as soon as they have been transferred or copied.

The club asks if people could look through their collections and pass on anything asap to help with the collation of the book being released next year.
