Juniors Make Their Return To Saturday Night Go Kart Series

press release

The Juniors made a welcome return to the Saturday Night Go Kart Series during the running of the fourth round that was held recently at Wollongong City Raceway, near Kembla Grange on the South Coast of NSW.

In the Junior Clubman class it was Ryan Suter that dominated proceedings by winning the final ahead of Jonathon Gauci and Courtney Smith in second and third place respectively. Earlier in the round Suter scored three comfortable heat race wins and that earned him a pole position start for the final and from the start he took command and from there he was never headed.

Bryce Davidson enjoyed a exactly the same performance in the Junior Clubman class that Suter managed to achieve in the Junior Clubman class and won the final by defeating Kyle Henry-Smith and Luke Oppio.

The Midget / Rookies class resulted in the Drew Friend winning and he was too fast for his closest rivals Connor Hey and Kieran Fairlie.

Sharing the stage with the Juniors in the Saturday Night Series were the Seniors.

The best performing in the Seniors was Ian Beeraz in the Clubman, Light and Heavy combined, who won all three heat races and the final. In the final Beeraz outpaced Manual Velasco and Rod Henry-Smith.

Other Senior class winners were; Grant Gaffa (Light and Heavy TAG Red), Justin Smith (Senior National), Shane Tate (TAG Restricted, Super Heavy and Over 40s combined) and Joe Chetcuti (Open Performance).

The next event involving the Saturday Night Series is the annual NSW Twilight State Title for Junior and Senior classes and it is to be held on Saturday, June 27 down at Wollongong City Raceway.
