A Message From The Buggy Family

Dear Troy, Lorraine, Peter and ALL THE KARTING COMMUNITY

God, I dont even know where to start to say "Thankyou". A thousand life times and we will never be able to show our graditude to everyone that organised and attended last night (Wednesday).

To everyone that sent flowers, cards, phone calls, txt messages, to those who travelled to Canberra to attend John's funeral, thank you so much.

Karting has been our life for 4 years. It's what we did every weekend and it's what we talked about every day and night. It is going to be a very long, hard road to return to karting, but the Buggys will return and with the funds raised we will now be able to return a lot faster than I had even anticapted.

I sat down with Joshua before deciding whether we would be able to attend last night, and I asked him how he would feel if we didn't kart any more. His response to me was, "if I stop racing, then everything that dad worked so hard for would be wasted. Let's race and make him proud." Pretty bad when your kids have to give you a wake up call.

It was very hard for Josh last night. He told me there were a couple of  times he looked around for his dad, but soon his friends took his mind off things. He is so very lucky to have so many friends.

To the Karting Community, you are all our family. I will never forget the kindness that you have shown my family and all of you will be in our hearts and lives forever.

To Troy, all the Top Gun team, Lorraine, Peter, Tim and NSKC, what amazing people you all are. Each and every one of you went way beyond the call of duty. John had all the time and love for each and every one of you and he would have been so very proud of all of you, for looking after his family.

My last bit of advice to everyone is - dont just turn up and race every week; turn up and enjoy. Enjoy the people that surround you and get to know everyone because these people do become your family. And trust me, their love and support is worth so much more than a blue and green plate.

God Bless, all our love
Tracey, Maverick, Joshua and Kyle Buggy
