Sunday Racing League, Round 3

The third round of the Sunday Racing League Kart Series was held at Wollongong City Raceway last Sunday (August 9) and the highlight of the event was the substantial and continued growth of competitor entries.

Competitors such as Isaac Vaccarella (Midgets and Rookies combined), Davashen Padayachee (Clubman Light), Grant Gaffa (TAG Red Light), Joe Gauci (TAG Super Heavy and TAG Over 40s combined) and Joe Chetcuti (Open Performance) enjoyed a clean sweep of proceedings in their respective classes.

Vaccarella in the Midget and Rookies combined class defeated Kieran Fairlie and Quentin Scabbert in the final, while Padayachee outpaced both Bradley Griffin and Rob Gurnett in the Clubman Light final, Gaffa downed Andrew Worner and Martin Villari in the TAG Red Light final, Gauci was too quick for Vince Ferraro and Noel Jago throughout the TAG Super Heavy and TAG Over 40s combined and Chetcuti out the winning honours in the Open Performance final once again and on this occasion finished ahead of Daniel Orsini and Michael Pesce.

Although they did not record clean sweeps of their respective classes; Daniel Prince in the Junior National and Junior Clubman combined class won the final by defeating Bryce Davidson and Daniel Nolan, while in the TAG Yellow final the victory was claimed by Glenn Wilford ahead of Daniel Eltoft and Anthony Palazzdo and the final class of the round, TAG Red Heavy, resulted in Adam Nassif taking out the victory in the final and did so by finishing ahead of both Joe Mauriello and Jamie Veech.

The fourth and final round of the Sunday Racing League Kart Series is to be held on Sunday, October 18 at Wollongong City Raceway.
