Jaymee Wins Fair & Square

press release

jaymee framptonJaymee Frampton is proving she has what it takes to mix it with the best of them. Jaymee moved into the Junior Rotax class this year, and has been showing she has the skills and ability on the track. Jaymee had been very successful in the Junior National Heavy class, but decided to move on to JMax and Junior Clubman.

Jaymee has been competing in the Rotax Pro Tour and will be on the starting grid this weekend at the Rotax Nationals in Eastern Creek Sydney. This backs up her win in JMax at the 29th Annual Junior Sprint Class a few weekends ago.

‘Hume International Raceway’ in Puckapunyal is Jaymee’s home circuit... There were 210 entrants from all over Australia wanting to put their name to a Junior Sprint Classic Title.

Jaymee did well in all heats leading into the final, putting her of P6. The start was all but a smooth one; Jaymee was doing her best to avoid an incident in front of her, and in doing so was relegated back to 8th. By lap 5 she had climbed her way back to 5th place, but looking ahead the leader, Liam Morey, had managed to forge 6 to 8 kart lengths on the rest of the field.

Coming over the start/finish line to face the last lap, she was holding 4th place, and reeling the remainder of the field in. With 5 corners to go she was making ground on 3rd & 4th position holders Brittany Hall & Bradley Jenner. She pulled off an unbelievable move into the ‘Bus Stop’ section of the raceway, and passed both karts in the one move putting her into 2nd place and only a kart length behind the leader. By the time Jaymee had got to the 3rd last corner of the Final lap, she & Morey were head to head. Jaymee found a gap and stuck it in managing to slip past Morey and crossing the finish line taking the chequered flag in first place.  She earnt her win fair and square!

This fantastic achievement backs up Jaymee’s recent 2nd placing at the ‘City of Melbourne Titles’ in the Junior Rotax Class.

Jaymee would like to thank her dad John, for taking her to all the rounds and looking after the kart set up etc, her brother Lachie, for being pit crew with her Dad when he is able to, plus her Mum as well. Finally, Jaymee would like to thank Alan Gangelhoff, from Alan Gangelhoff Produce in Melbourne, without his fantastic support, these great results wouldn’t have been possible.
