Wall-e's Enduro Revs Up

The event commonly referred to as "'Wall-e's Enduro" (officially titled this year as the 2009 TradeInMyCar Enduro) will see a number of changes compared to previous editions of the race.

The feature 4-and-a-half hour senior endurance race will be for 125cc Sportsman (TaG) at 245kg (kart + both drivers) on MG Red tyres (1 set). There will also be a 30 lap Pro Clubman race and a one hour Junior National enduro as support classes.

With the dramas of organising V8 Supercar drivers for past events, Wall has had a change of tact for the 2009 edition of the race. "This year I'm concentrating on getting gun kart-driver pairings and family pairings" he informed KartSportNews.

"Plus, there are just too many karters wanting in. The Masters class is going to be the hardest yet and the Vintage demonstration looks like more than 10 or so karts. Hopefully the weather is going be clear this year."

Support class prizes are trophies down to 3rd place, a set of tyres for the top 3 placegetters and a Yamaha engine (J for juniors, S for seniors) which will be random draw to any entrant that races, thanks to Yamaha Australia.

The event takes place at Todd Rd on Saturday December 12.
