Heaton to Debut in Junior Speedway

Canberra junior karter Liam Heaton makes his debut in the Junior speedway ranks at the National Capital Speedway Xmas Meeting this Sunday, December 20.

Following a successful license test, Heaton will strap into his ex-Kelly Toyota Corolla in the Junior Speedway Sedan class.

"We hope to take in the NSW and Victorian Titles this season and just learn as much as we can" he said. The Kart Garage has been added to the team's list of sponsors, joining long time backers MiQuip The Equipment Group.

With Arizona-based speed shop UPR.com also on board, Heaton hopes to take in a limited USA tour mid-2010 in Legend Cars based around Phoenix, Arizona.

Liam's father is Russell Heaton, an ex speedway champion of the 80s and 90s. "This season is very much 'toe in the water' and we will see which direction Liam's motorsport career takes" he informed KartSportNews.
