Scoble Ventures Out In Rotax

press release

Steven Scoble cleaned up in Rotax Light at the opening round of Super4Series 2010 at Hurricane Kart’s Club Wundowie circuit on Saturday.

Although Scoble had been quick during Friday night practice, his Heat One result of fourth was not the way he wanted to start the meeting.  A few minor adjustments to his Arrow kart then resulted in three consecutive wins to take overall first place for the day.

Nathan Davis (Midwest Kart Club, Geraldton) put in an impressive performance as well, although he too, had a less than satisfying first heat with a fifth place.  As with Scoble, the remaining three heats were much better for Davis, with seconds in all other three races.

Scoble is much better known as a Clubman Light driver which remains his first love but the offer from Mick Kenny’s Revenge Racing (Bunbury) was too good to not give serious consideration.  After the weekend’s results, testing will continue to refine the package.  Clubman is now on hold  until there is a weight gain for Scoble in order to avoid all those former Juniors who have jumped ranks!

This is Scoble’s first outing in Rotax other than competing in the December Enduro’s run by Matt Wall at the Todd Road circuit for the last three years.
