Saturday Night Series Continues To Grow

Once again close to 100 competitors participated in the second round of the 2010 Saturday Night Kart Series last Saturday night (March 27) at Wollongong City Raceway (Kembla Grange, South Coast of NSW) in yet another indication of its continued growth.

The two biggest fields of classes for the Saturday Night Kart Series were Clubman Light and TAG Red Light and it resulted in Alan Charlton taking out the final for Clubman Light after he defeated Joe Ingegneri and Martin Hollings, while Aaron Cogger did likewise in the TAG Red Light final when he managed to outpace both Chad Horsley and Tony Bregonje.

In the Junior classes wins in the 16-lap finals were shared between Kieran Fairlis (Rookies), Benito Montalb (Midgets), Ryan Suter (Junior National) and Jack Bennett (Juniors Performance).

The action was aplenty amongst the Senior classes and win were claimed in their respective finals, that were staged over a distance of 16 laps, by Shane Tate (TAG Red Super Heavy), John Daly (TAG 100), Glen Quinlan (TAG Over 50s), Corey Emr (Senior National), Daniel Orsini (Open Performance), Michael Johnston (TAG Red Heavy), Rod Henry-Smith (Clubman Heavy) and Leigh Wright (100cc Performance RESA).

Saturday night, April 17 back at Wollongong City Raceway is when and where the third round of the Saturday Night Kart Series is scheduled to be fought out.
