Karting 'Open Forum' for Adelaide

AKA SA Publicity Officer Ian Williams has posted on the AKASA message board an open invitation for karters to attend a karting 'open forum' in Adelaide next week (see below). Link to the post HERE.

This is an open invitation to the karters of South Australia to be a part of an open forum evening to discuss our sport.

We have arranged a large meeting room at the Sporting Car Club of SA clubrooms for Friday night, April 23rd. This is located at 51 King William Road, Unley. There will be a full bar facility open for you to purchase drinks, and we will provide some very light snacks - or feel free to bring along your own food platters.

The evening will start around 7.30pm and we would hope to be all finished by 10.30pm.

There will be a moderator to M/C the night and we will have an outside supplier come along to put on a display and talk to all those present for a bit of entertainment. There will also be an open-wheel formula race car on display for everyone to look over.

The Sporting Car Club also has the largest motoring and motorsport library in the southern hemisphere within its walls, so that is worth a browse if you are interested.

The evening will give all karters the opportunity to ask questions of the AKA of SA in regards how the sport is currently run, and to offer their suggestions for changes and/or improvements in the future. If any karters have felt that their voice has not been heard in the past then this is an evening where we will be taking note of those suggestions and having short discussions on them plus keeping a note for further action.

If you have any topics you want discussed on the night then please email them to me beforehand with the details, and we will try to provide some answers.

This has been prompted by the many messages posted to all the Message Boards and on-line forums around the country. This will be an informal evening where you can come along and offer what you have to say amongst other karters who may have the same sorts of questions and ideas to add to the overall running of our sport.
