Street Race Planned For Cheltenham

Plans are afoot to run a kart race meeting, including KZ2 shifter karts, through the streets of Cheltenham (the UK one, not the Melbourne suburb) in 2013.

www.karting1.co.uk reports that organisers are hoping to build an event along the lines of the famous Rock Island Grand Prix in the US. More info and interview with the organisers HERE.

A spectacular street race was run in Greece last year. The first ever kart race through the streets of Patras saw the circuit lined with thousands of spectators (see below). A series of spectacular pictures from the event are on the Patras circuit website HERE.
