STR's Two-Pronged Attack for Australian Superkart Title

press release

STR racing has recruited up and coming Superkart driver Brendan Luneman to participate in a 2 kart assault in the 250cc National class at the first round of the 2010 Australian Superkart Titles at Phillip Island on May 1st and 2nd.

Team owner/driver Matt Palmer said he was proud to be in a position to enable Brendan to further his career in motorsport after his inclusion in the 2009 CAMS Junior Driver Development program. "Brendan is showing great maturity in the Non-Gearbox class and I would hope that maturity can transfer over into a gearbox kart and he would get some good results on the weekend.”

Palmer is giving up his drive in the #48 Anderson/Yamaha kart that has undergone major development and testing over the past month including having Gerard McLeod, recent Bathurst 12 hour class winner and son of Bathurst 1000 winner Peter McLeod, race it at Calder Park on Sunday in its final shakedown before Phillip Island. Palmer will instead pilot the #67 Stockman/Kawasaki the team recently acquired which is going through the final stages of development and testing.

STR Racing would like to thank their supporters for enabling them to assist young drivers. Seaford Truck Refinishers. Quarry Maintenance Services. STR Truck Bodies. Wurth Products and FAB Racing.
