Saturday Night Series Heats Up

The most recent round of the Saturday Night Kart Series was battled out at Wollongong City Raceway, near Kembla Grange on the South Coast of NSW, and it resulted in some new faces in victory lane.

In what was the fourth round of the Saturday Night Kart Series the Senior classes resulted in the finals going the way of Brad Moss in Senior National over Corey Emr and Craig Cosis, Grant Gaffa in TAG Red Light ahead of Aaron Cogger and Chad Horsley and in Clubman Light ahead of Alex Harvey and Chad Horsley, Brett Bamfield in TAG Red Super Heavy over Darren Gillis and Shane Tate, Barry Woods in TAG 100 ahead John Daly and James Reid, Michael Johnston in the TAG Red Heavy over Dean Leek and Joe Mauriello, Adam Hunter in the Clubman Heavy ahead of Daniel Eltoft and Rod Henry-Smith, Dean Starling in Open Performance over Daniel Orsini and Michael Pesce, and John Gills won the TAG Over 50s.

The Juniors saw wins in the final shared between Hayden Sunderland in the Rookies ahead of Cody Gillis and Darian Ward, Benito Montalb over Jacque Isarin and Tyson Williams in Midgets, Jonathon Gauci won in Junior National when he defeated Ryan Suter and Shania Jones and in Junior Performance Jack Bennett came out on top over Ken Henry-Smith and Dion Henry-Smith.

The running of the NSW State Title is going to be the next event for the Saturday Night Kart Series competitors and that is to be held at Wollongong City Raceway on Saturday, June 26.
