Results Roll On For DR

press release

Driving his Danilo Rossi built KZ chassis, Team DR Driver Lee Mitchener has scored his second successive podium in as many rounds of the Horsepower Heaven series.

Minor troubles impacted Lee’s performance in qualifying but a strong progression through the heats and pre final set Lee up for a battle for top spot in the final. Lee shadowed David Sera for the majority of the final before a late race pass from Jason Pringle shuffled him back to third.

Jordie Lindstrom and Ewyen Carter also showed great speed throughout the weekend, but both failed to finish the final.

Jordie raced for the first time Danilo’s latest KZ chassis, the M92, and is extremely happy with the new kart. Unfortunately for Jordie his final ended early after he broke a chain roughly ten laps into the final. Jordie had just passed Jason Pringle for third and was sitting just behind David Sera and team mate Mitchener.

Ewyen Carter put in his best qualifying performance so far and ran strongly throughout the event. Unfortunately Ewyen made contact with a stalled kart at the start of final and was unable to take part.

This event was a big step forward for Team DR, now looking forward to Round 4 of the CIK Stars of Karting at Todd Rd this weekend.
