DR Kart Claims Victorian Pro Gearbox Championship

press release

The final round of Australia’s premier karting series, the CIK Stars of Karting, will be remembered by DR Kart as their first state championship in Australia.

Jordie Lindstrom, DR Driver, piloted his M92 to a victory in Final One and a third in Final Two in the ultra competitive Pro Gearbox KZ2 field. These results were enough to secure the state championship ahead of Matthew Wall and David Sera. The Stars of Karting rules are aligned with international rules which see both finals of equal value towards the overall event results; this makes the event a lot more strategic.

Jordie and brother mechanic Jace Lindstrom were over the moon. “This weekend was all about helping Jordie and DR win the round and the Victorian championship, we had the better kart in final one whereas Wall had a small edge on us in final two. This result gives us strong motivation into next year as we believe the package we had on the weekend was the best. Jordie’s pace was exceptional, the new M92 is amazing”, said Jace.

“I cannot be happier, after a year of bad luck everything has paid off. This is a great way to end the series, I’m so proud of the fact that we are working directly with Danilo and his factory in Italy. This is a rare relationship and something which is assisting us in becoming the fastest KZ team. The competition is very tough and we are right at the pointy end. This class is fantastic for Australia and really is putting Australia back on the world map” said Jordie.

Jordie used the latest KZ chassis from DR which is called the M92, named after Danilo Rossi’s famous 125cc World Championship Victory at the Mariembourg circuit.
