24th To 3rd For Nicolaj Moller-Madsen At World Champs

press release

Nicolaj Moller-Madsen - European champion, second at the WSK Euro Series and German champion - climbed sensationally from twenty fourth to third place in the final race of the World Championship. After this world podium, behind two drivers who usually race in Super KF, the Danish driver and Energy Corse are rightly considered the best performers of the KF2 international season.

At each meeting, the Energy Corse team tries constantly to put all its drivers in the best possible conditions to aim at a good result. They were able to prove it in KZ2, with three drivers in the top 5 of the European Championship - first De Conto, second Pesce, and fifth Johansson - or in KF3, thanks to the results achieved by Dennis Olsen and Robin Hansson. At the World KF2 Championship, it was not "one", but again several Energy drivers who showed their talent despite the number of entered drivers - 125 overall - and an incredibly high level of performance. Joel Johansson, Sami Luka and Nicolaj Moller-Madsen were all there, in the lead positions, to fight hard during the qualifying heats. While the Swedish driver concluded a brilliant performance with a first place in his group, Luka was left empty-handed. Finally, the best performance came from Moller-Madsen, who at the press conference did not forget to credit the team for his success...

"I started so far back in the pre-final that I did not think I could make it to the podium. I owe really a lot to the Energy Corse team, from a technical view point, because the chassis-TM engine combination has been perfect - my team mate Joel Johansson also proved that by winning a heat on Saturday - and from a personal point of view, because the team taught me the importance of race management. This is a team where you can learn a lot. With them, I was able to win the European Championship and to rank in the world top 3, it's great!"

Energy is German Champion

The evolution of Kinetic and Eclipse chassis models led to top performances at the German Championship, both in KF and in KZ. Energy Corse was fantastic in KF2 thanks to the victories and podiums conquered by Nicolaj Moller-Madsen. In KZ2, the Italian driver Paolo De Conto - 2010 European Champion - dominated the end of the season by winning the four last races in Ampfing and Hahn-Hunsrück, which allowed him to climb to second place in the overall standings. Energy chassis were equally successful in KF3, as shown by Norwegian Dennis Olsen, who concluded this hard-fought championship in 3rd place, with three podiums - including one victory - in his pocket.

A comment by Michele Panigada (team manager)

"Energy Corse's list of achievements gets longer year after year and it is a great satisfaction to see Nicolaj Moller-Madsen on the podium at a meeting with all major international teams present. The two drivers who preceded him benefit from the experience built in Super KF and it must said that he also set the best lap time in the final. Our chassis can adapt to all the different conditions we meet during the year. I would like to congratulate the whole team as well as, Alberto Baldrighi at technical level and Frédéric Dettings for TM engines on their excellent work, and I also wish to thank our technical and financial partners".
