24-Hour Kart Record Broken

UK karter Lloyd de Boltz-Miller has broken Myk Prescott's 2008 World 24 Hour Kart record. With three hours to go, Lloyd had clocked up 1153km, breaking Prescott's record  of 1152km (set over 24 hours).

"Overnight, he had to contend with heavy rain and water getting into his fuel tank. This necessitated some frantic work by his pit crew, including a dash to Silverstone to collect fresh petrol from Sunoco, Lloyd's fuel partner." Adam Jones of 100cc PR & Driver Management informed KartSportNews.

Lloyd is continuing to clock laps aboard his Tony Kart EVR/Rotax Max until the full 24-hours is up.

A full press release will follow.
