Arrow Drivers Excel at WA State Titles

press release

The annual Western Australian State Championships were held on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of October at the Tiger Kart Club in Cockburn, the home of the 2011 Australian Karting Championships. Arrow Racing Karts drivers put in an admirable performance throughout the event claiming five class titles.

BD Soutar-Dawson kept up his high reputation by claiming a gutsy win in the highly competitive Clubman Light class. Hot on his heels throughout the weekend was fellow Arrow driver Matthew Panella who claimed second position in what was a good lead up to the Australian Titles there next year.

Nikola Mitic proved simply too good in the Midgets class, sweeping to victory in the heats, pre final and the final. Sam Dicker took the first of the podium places for the Dicker family with a gutsy third place finish after being amongst the leaders throughout the weekend. Father Greg finished second to long time foe Remo Luciani in the Over 40’s category with another Arrow driver present on the podium in Rob Landsmeer.

The Rookies class was won by Tyler Morrison from South Australia who travelled great distances to win his first Open State Title. Another Arrow young gun in Austin Pearson claimed the final podium position after clawing his way back from two difficult heat races to be in contention when it mattered.

Blake Mills made a welcome return back to karting where he added the Rotax Heavy crown to his already decorated trophy cabinet. Also on the podium was Guy Webster, who put in a consistent performance throughout the championship.

Andrew Prince and Adam Marjoram claimed a one-two finish for Arrow Karts in the hotly contested Leopard Light class. It was a successful day for Marjoram who also claimed second position in the fastest class of the weekend, the Open Class.

Brodie Kostecki left the Cockburn circuit with two third place finishes in Junior National Light and Junior National Heavy in what he hopes can catapult him to victory at next year’s Nationals. Other Arrow drivers that made it onto the podium were Anthony Martin in (JNL) and (JC), James French (SNL), Simon Minton (SNH), Matt Elsdon (CH), Steven Jones (RL), Adrian Fogliani (CSH), and Tim White (SNH).

It was a pleasing event for Arrow Racing Karts as the Australian made brand continues to set the benchmark in Australian karting at all levels. Arrow Racing Karts would like to thank all who contributed to the fantastic results and express our gratitude and appreciation to all who continue to support our products.
