Endurance Karts Return to Canberra

press release

A field of close to 20 teams are set to contest this Sunday’s (October 17) eighth and penultimate round of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australian NSW Endurance Kart Championship at Fairbairn Park Kart Track, near Canberra in the A.C.T.

Known as the ‘Canberra 7 Hour’, amongst the 20 team field there are at least half a dozen potential winners and without a doubt the form team over the past few months has been the # 3 Jets Motorsport team, who are also known as ‘Team Pink’. They go into this Sunday’s ‘Canberra 7 Hour’ as the clear favourites and with winning form on their side it’s hard to go past them when it comes to picking a winner. Two teams that are certainly not to be discounted are the # 2 SCR and # 777 Horsepower Racing and they are heading into the ‘Canberra 7 Hour’ with only winning on their mind. Both teams have shown plenty of speed in recent appearances around the 730 metre Fairbairn Park Kart Track and hope to turn that speed into a victory at the fall of the chequered flag.

Apart from the # 3 Jets Motorsport, # 2 SCR and # 777 Horsepower Racing, the likes of # 66 Team Kaos, # 23 Bell Pipes Racing, # 21 Walkos Racing and # 80 Barra Motorsport are all hoping for a solid ‘Canberra 7 Hour’ result.

Local entrants, # 4 Kaizen Racing and # 212 CJ Racing, are hoping that their home track advantage can turn into a pleasing result.

Not to be outdone, there are up to 10 other teams aiming to bring home a pleasing outcome to their ‘Canberra 7 Hour’ campaigns.

Each team contesting the ‘Canberra 7 Hour’ has between two and five drivers per team and throughout the race they are required to make numerous pit stops for things such as driver changes, fuel, tyre changes and repairs.

The entire ‘Canberra 7 Hour’ can be viewed live via the video link on: prokart.racertv.com.au
