Paymark Confirmed As Event Sponsor For CIK Trophy of New Zealand

Paymark has been confirmed as the presenting sponsor for the 2011 CIK Trophy of New Zealand. The event will be contested at CRC Raceway, Kaitoke, Upper Hutt on 28-30 January 2011, and the Kiwis are offering free entry to the event for overseas competitors.

With the free entry incentive, plus the fact that CIK racing had grown significantly in Australia this year, the organisers are expecting more Aussies to head over for the race. Ricky Capo (KF3) and Matthew Hayes (KZ2) flew the Australian flag with Maranello karts at the previous running.

As well as the KartSport New Zealand CIK Trophies for the international KZ2, KF2 and KF3 classes, KartSport New Zealand Challenge Cups will be contested in up to eight support classes.

The event returns to the same venue as last year, however over the winter months KartSport Wellington have completely rebuilt and extended the dummy grid, installed a “hot’ pit lane and further improved spectator facilities (see other News item).

“We are delighted that Paymark and our class sponsors are planning to step up their sponsorship leveraging by entertaining their clients in our hospitality area, supported by our Club café, the best KartSport café in New Zealand”, notes Andrew Donohue, KartSport Wellington Media Officer.

Entries are now open. Early Entries close 4 January 2011. Late entries close 14 January 2011. Entry form and regulations are on the KartSportNews Race Calendar page HERE.
