A1 Engines Bendigo Golden Power Series Report

press release

Bendigo Kart Club held their 1st meeting since the revamp of the track.  The weather played a big part in the weekend with Stewards calling the racing off on the Saturday afternoon due to torrential rain.

In the Rookies division Reece Sidebottom had a couple of difficult heats but in the final showed his superior driving skills to take an easy win. Tristan Gledhill and Shaun Costello also drove a good race on the weekend.  Sarah Campbell finishing in 21st place.

Thomas Bennett and Nicholas Cardamone were out on the track dominating the heats in the Midgets class both on equal points for the final but it was Thomas Bennett who fell back to 7th on the start and worked his way to the front to take the win with Nicholas coming home in 3rd place. Adam Campbell came in position 21.

After dropping back in the field at the start James managed to climb his way back to 2nd position but unfortunately not enough laps to take the win.  Jack Wicks and Dylan Johns also drove well.

Daniel Valentini showed the city slickers how to race on his home track taking out the Junior Clubman class in an excellent drive as well as also finishing in a solid 2nd place in the Junior National Heavy class with Thomas Allen finishing in 4th place and Gus Robbins  in 15th.
