Statewide Series for NSW In 2011

A state karting series will be run in NSW in 2011. The NSW State Cup is to provide club racers the opportunity to gain experience racing at a higher level of competition.

Due to commence in February, four rounds will be run in Northern, Southern and Metro regions (12 events) and conclude by the end of June.

A press release indicated the series would not have a registration fee, that entry fees would be 'moderate' and that there were incentives to compete - though exactly what those incentives are was not mentioned.

The series is set to cater for all the usual classes and will follow the schedule below:

• Round 1 Southern Zone @ Griffith 12 &13 Feb 2011
• Round 1 Metro @ Combined district 26 & 27 Feb 2011
• Round 1 Northern Zone @ Tamworth 12 & 13 Feb 2011

• Round 2 Southern Zone @ Grenfell 5 & 6 March 2011
• Round 2 Northern Zone @Coffs Harbour 2 & 3 April 2011
• Round 2 Metro @ Wollongong 9 & 10 April 2011

• Round 3 Northern Zone @Manning valley 23 & 24 April 2011
• Round 3 Southern Zone @ Wagga 28 & 29 May 2011
• Round 3 Metro @ Northshore 7 & 8 May 2011

• Round 4 Northern Zone @ Port Macquarie 4 & 5 June 2011
• Round 4 Metro @ Newcastle 18 & 19 June 2011
• Round 4 Southern Zone @ Dubbo 25 & 26 June 2011
