Formula Vee Test for Jnr Top Gun
The Junior Clubman driver who accumulates the greatest number of combined points across both rounds of this year's Junior Top Guns at Oakleigh will be rewarded with a full day test in a Formula Vee race car.
Junior Racing Development (JRD) is sponsoring the two rounds at Oakleigh Kart Club on Friday 14th and 21st of January and will supply one of the teams Championship winning Sabre 02 Formula Vees for a test day at Winton Motor Raceway.

“JRD is pleased to again be supporting this fantastic event after dipping a toe in the water last year" said JRD partner Brett MacLennan.
"Supporting the premier junior only karting event in Australia represents a key part of what Junior Racing Development is about. Following last years event we conducted tests for a number of karters and we are really excited that out of these tests, Liam Morey is set to join our team for the 2011 season”
“The test we are providing is a fantastic opportunity for a top level junior karter to get a taste of open wheel racing cars and we hope to see a full grid of junior clubman drivers come January”.
Oakleigh Kart Club’s Presiden Adam Bourke is full of praise for JRD’s initiative and believes it makes the Junior Clubman class the “red hot category” in 2011.
“We are really pleased that Junior Racing Development is again supporting the Junior Top Guns event" bourke said.
"The prize of a test in one of JRD’s Sabre 02 Formula Vees is just fantastic. We really believe on-going support like that which JRD is providing is just what junior karting needs and will help ensure career progression for our leading drivers”.
