A Series Of Victories For CRG

press release

Year after year, season after season, race after race, CRG and Maxter have made winning a habit, a religion. Thanks to its long experience, the Italian brand has learnt that success is not something that can be improvised, but it is the result of huge efforts to constantly supply winning karts. 2010 remained faithful to the tradition and the list of CRG achievements became even longer, after a series of victories conquered in all the categories of international karting...

Super KF : Victory After Top Effort
After his 2009 double success - at the WSK and at the World Championship - Arnaud Kozlinski fiercely defended his leadership during the whole season, from his podium at the Winter Cup to his victory at the last WSK round. "One of CRG strengths is its capacity to react. Our opponents have not given us any respite, but we have always been capable of stepping up our performances to aim for victory", "Koko" commented. This explains why the French driver dominated the WSK World Series round in Egypt, while his team mate Davide Forè ensured CRG-Maxter's double success. On his debut in this very difficult category, Italian driver Felice Tiene proved to be ready to play the leading part in 2011.

KZ : A Heap of Podiums...
Three victories out of three in the WSK World Series and five podiums, including two victories during the fives rounds of the WSK Euro Series... And two titles for Jonathan Thonon in KZ1! "I owe a lot to the whole CRG-Maxter team, but also to Tec-Sav, our engine tune-up specialist. It is always a pleasure to drive such a competitive kart. I am especially proud of my victory at the WSK Euro Series, because this year it was the only event that gathered all major teams at the same time", the Belgian driver confessed. CRG also had the satisfaction to see Norman Nato impose himself at the Monaco Kart Cup, Jorrit Pex conquer the pole position at the World Cup for KZ1, Nicola Nolè win the title at the Open Masters in KZ2, Yard Pex win one heat at the KZ2 WSK Euro Series and Gary Carlton finish third at the WSK World Series.

KF2 : A Girl in Power with CRG
Michelle Gatting travelled a lot in 2010 and showed the excellent performances of her CRG-Maxter in many countries and on several different circuits. For example, the Danish girl climbed on the first step of the podium at the Belgian Championship as well as at the French Championship with the VDK Racing team (CRG Junior Team). Gatting was often in the WSK top positions and even conquered two victories during the final rounds of Zuera, Spain (Euro Series) and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt (World Series). She was also third at the Asia-Pacific Championship in Suzuka, where Japanese driver Kiyoto Fujinami had a brilliant victory with his CRG-Maxter.

KF3 : Goal Fulfilled
In 2010, CRG-Maxter karts have become a point of reference in this highly competitive category. "It was one of our main goals for the season, and we are very satisfied we have fulfilled it", Nico Carigiet from Maxter commented proudly. Max Verstappen has always been up to expectations in all major events, despite the fact that it was the Dutch driver's debut in KF3. After winning the WSK Euro Series, he repeated his successful performance at the World Series and at the Nations Cup. It was a brilliant hat trick success, in addition to a second place at the World Cup and at the Winter Cup, as well as a fifth place at the European Championship. Antonio "Speedy" Fuoco confirmed his excellent state of form by ending second at the Open Masters and fourth at the WSK World Series. And the season finished with a clean victory by British Matthew Graham at the Asia-Pacific Championship in Macao.

CRG also conquered other victories at national level as well as at single-brand championships (such as Rotax Max) all over the world, starting from the younger drivers' categories, as confirmed by the title won by Lorenzo Scatta in 60 Mini at the Open Masters. CRG and Maxter will be ready for another successful season in 2011...
