press release

KartSport North America recently descended onto the World famous Daytona Raceway for the first round of the WKA Manufacturers Cup held on the 28th and 29th of December where Arrow Racing Karts claimed a dominant seven class wins throughout the event.

It was nearly five victories but after a long race battle in Yamaha Supercan Light, Beasley fell agonisingly short to claim the second spot on the podium to cap off a remarkable debut in the Senior Ranks.

Young Texan Austin Self continued his recent good form to lead Arrow to a 1-2 finish in Yamaha Junior Heavy over arch rival Jacob Donald. Self has been prolific since joining Arrow Racing Karts in the latter part of 2010 which netted him a podium position at the prestigious SuperNats in Las Vegas back in November.

Jacob Donald went one better in the final of Komet Junior Heavy to take his total podiums for the weekend to two and kick start his WKA Manufacturers Cup campaign. Kyle Tilley rounded out Arrow’s final victory for the meeting when he won the Komet Sportsman class as well as setting the fastest lap in the process.

NASCAR star AJ Allmendinger had a good return to karting as he steered his Arrow X1-CIK to fifth in TaG 2, and is looking at competing in more kart races this year.

Arrow would like to thank and congratulate all drivers on their efforts at Daytona. It was certainly an impressive start to the season and bodes well for Arrow as they strive to attain back to back E Karting News Constructors Championships.
