Harrington Doyle Racing & Pacific Kartsport Team Up

Pacific Kartsport (PKS) and Harrington Doyle Racing (HDR), two of Yatala’s (Qld) kart racing teams who compete nationally in the Australian CIK Stars of Karting Series, announced yesterday that they have formed a new Team Alliance.

Both teams have premises in the 3,000 hectare Yatala Enterprise Area, one the fastest growing and most dynamic industrial and commercial precincts in Australia.  Pacific Kartsport operates from a new retail and race space on the Old Pacific Highway at Yatala, whilst the Harrington Doyle Racing Team runs from their workshop just off Stanmore Road, Yatala.

“We’ve been customers of Pacific Kartsport’s retail business for the past few seasons and good friends with their Racing Team,” said Harrington Doyle Racing Team Manager, Craig Doyle.

“When we talked together recently about our plans for 2011, it dawned on us that we were planning to compete in many of the same national events, but in different racing classes.  Having previously shared a large marquee set-up at the 2009 Queensland State Titles, helping each other out in the background, it made sense to take that on the road with us in 2011.”

The alliance deal struck between the two Yatala Kart Teams is that Pacific Kartsport will provide the Harrington Doyle Team with added technical and racing support during the 2011 season, whilst HDR will provide added media and promotions resource to PKS.  The Harrington Doyle Racing Team will also be incentivised to upgrade their current Monaco and CRG kart fleet to new Arrow chassis during the year.

“Between us we each have strengths in different areas and sharing those combined resources across the two teams will hopefully bring value to both groups,” said Pacific Kartsport Owner/Manager, Dale Verrall. “We’re both racing to win in 2011, both on and off the track.”

Speaking together at the striking of the deal, Doyle said, “We couldn’t be more pleased on a number of levels.  For example, with Orrcon Steel being our Team Partner for the past 3 seasons, their steel is used in the construction of Arrow Karts.  In the longer term it will be a great business story for us to be racing Australian made Arrow Karts, with Australian made Orrcon Steel, from our Premium Arrow Dealer friends at Pacific Kartsport.  Where ever possible we are always trying to link up and showcase our Partners and their products”.

Both Pacific Kartsport’s Racing Team and the Harrington Doyle Racing Team will continue to operate their own respective liveries, their own separate sponsor rosters and racing operations, but don’t be surprised to see the distinctive Kombat Beenleigh printed Red/Black and Blue/Green Crew shirts in each others’ Pit Areas much more often throughout the year.

Pacific Kartsport’s 2011 Team Partners include, Pacific Kartsport, Arrow Racing Karts, Alpinestars, Maxima Racing Oils, Kosmic and top gear bag designer, Ogio.

Harrington Doyle Racing’s 2011 Team Partners include, Harrington Doyle, Orrcon Steel, Inox Lubricants, Entegy Web & Online Creative, Motul Oils, X-treme Racing Apparel, Pacific Kartsport, Tez FX Graphic Design, Pacific Rim Trading, All Engine Parts.com.au, Embroidery 2 Day and Yatala’s own MJ Trailers.

Both Teams will be competing locally at Round 1 of the 2011 Australian CIK Stars of Karting Series to be held at Ipswich Kart Club’s Willowbank Raceway from February 25 to 27, 2011.  Be sure to meet both of the teams and their Promotional Hostesses trackside in their pit areas, throughout the admission free event.
