Arrow's Next Generation Light Up Junior Top Guns

press release

The annual Junior Top Guns meeting was held at Oakleigh Go-Kart Racing Club on the 21st and 22nd of January where Arrow Junior Drivers dominated the event amassing a staggering seven class wins out of eight over the two nights.

Damon Strongman used his home track advantage to full effect as the Arrow driver led home every race to start his 2011 campaign the best way possible. Chasing Strongman home both nights was Tasmanian State Champion Liam McLellan who took his Arrow into third position after recently graduating from Rookies late last year.

The elder of the McLellan brothers Matthew (above, in JMax), steered his X1-30 Arrow chassis to the top step of the podium after consistent results over the two nights gave him more points than his rivals. It was a pleasing debut in the class for McLellan after he had finished on the podium at State Championships three times last year.

Arrow drivers filled all 5 steps of the podium in Junior National Light C & P class with Justin Ford leading home Michael Nichols, Braydon North, Christian Morina, and Timothy Clarke showing the talent Arrow has coming through the ranks.

Anton DePasquale led home an Arrow trifecta, this time in Junior National Heavy. DePasquale won every race over the two nights with Matthew McLellan claiming second ahead of Reece Bloomfield who had to make a comeback in the final after a tough start.

In one of the fiercest battles of the Top Gun Series, Thomas Bennett in his new X1-MR beat home fellow Arrow rivals Dylan Hollis, and Chase Wooley in the Midgets category. The leading karts were changing positions consistently throughout the races, with either of the top three being able to win.

Although the class was down on numbers from previous years, Anton DePasquale got his second quadrella of the series winning every race on his way to claiming the top step in Junior Clubman aboard his X1-28N.
Justin Carless came out on top in Junior National Heavy C & P ahead of fellow Arrow drivers Corey Patterson, Edward Brown, Dale Cornfoot and Jamie McDonald who finished second through to fifth.

Arrow drivers continued to fill the podium, this time it was in Rookies where Jarrod Dwyer finished second after a hard fought battle over fellow Arrow competitor Rhys Wooley.

Arrow Racing Karts proved their absolute dominance in the Junior classes claiming an incredible 29 podium positions from a total of 40.

It was an amazing event for Arrow Racing Karts as the Australian made brand continues to set the benchmark in Australian karting at all levels.

We would like to thank all who contributed to the fantastic results and express our gratitude and appreciation to all who continue to support our products.
