Vic Country Series News

press release - Message from the new 2011 Series Co-ordinator

Welcome to the 2011 Victorian Country Series. A big thank you to Trevor Crane for Co-ordinating the series for the last few years, he has done a fabulous job and has left big shoes to fill.

The Series this year will run 13 classes, Leopard, Rotax, Senior National & TaG Restricted will all run at a pro weight. The Junior Performance class has been deleted due to low numbers and will be reviewed later in the year as Junior Clubman comes to an end.

The points this year remain as all points count on the day as well as for the series and there is no requirement as to how many meetings you have to run. The highest points at the end of the series is the winner of that class.

NEW DETAILS ON HOW TO ENTER

Entries will be by the CM:S system, simply go to: http://www.karting.net.au/ (click 'apply for a licence') using your Licence ID number and password. Under 'My Details' function (top right) choose 'Pre-Enter Race Meeting' and leave all your details.

If you have any problems entering please contact the VKA for assistance.

We are trialling this method of entry as it will become the way to enter all race meetings in the future. The progressive entry list will still be available on the website  www.victoriancountryseries.com

With most of the organising clubs only having one open meeting this year, I'm confident that they will go out of their way to put on a great show for you, but remember, that it is your series as well and if you think something can be imporved in some way please let us know.

The series kicks off on the weekend of February 13th at Cobden, so get your entry in and good luck.

Cheers
RUSSELL WHITE
2011 VCS Co-ordinator

PROGRESSIVE ENTRY LIST
A progressive entry list will still be available on the VCS website, so you do not need to keep logging into the CM:S system each time you want to see the entry list. Here is the direct link: www.victoriancountryseries.com/page20.htm

Please note: The progressive entry list has been "copied" directly from the CM:S online system page, so if you see an error (example: if you put the wrong class etc;) you MUST go back into the CM:S system, log-in and correct it yourself.

If you are having difficulty entering or have any questions please contact the VKA office (between 10am to 5pm weekdays) Email: vka@bigpond.net.au
Tel: 03 9362 1144 (melbourne)
Tel: 03 5449 6362 (country)
Fax: 03 5449 6442

Why are we entering through the CM:S system?
The VKA has instructed the Clubs to use this system in future. This makes it a lot easier for the clubs and also for you to enter events once you get the hang of it.

Will we still be able to check the entries on the VCS website without having to log into the CM:S each time?
Yes. We will be logging in each day and copying them onto the website page exactly as it is shown in the CM:S. The progressive entry list will still be updated daily same as we have been doing in per previous years. This makes the entry list available for everyone to view it, family, friends etc; so you don't have to log-in to the CM:S each time to see the entry list. Also, any changes you make after you enter will be updated the following day on the progressive entry list.
